Poster Designs for Perth Digital Accessibility Conference 2026

On 17th February 2026, Perth Digital Accessibility Conference 2026 (PDAC 2026) was held at The Hub, Bentley Technology Park. I handled the branding and marketing design, social media and website updates, and conference experience design. For this, I got some amazing support from the members and well-wishers of the Perth Digital A11y Group. This single-day event was attended by almost 150 people — both in-person and online. PDAC 2026 was a huge success as we got more than 20,000 impressions on social media.

Digital Posters

Posters are the primary means to grab the attention of prospective attendees. The posters should also feature important info about the event so that people can easily register and buy a ticket. The layout of the posters designed by me is very simple — An anchor image overlaid with a masthead, body copy, call to action, and a footer area with URLs. I used the primary blue (#152093) and secondary orange (#EDAC44) branding colours of PDAC. Various font weights of Nunito Sans typeface are used on the posters for conveying the content hierarchy.

I made almost 120 posters — the majority of them were used to spread the word online till the day of the conference. For the day of the event, 16:9 wide-format posters meant for the venue’s digital displays were designed. A few posters were also created for the post-conference communications.

Pre-Conference Posters

These posters are published to spread the word online till the day of the conference.

1. Save the Date

This ‘Save the Date’ poster didn’t feature any brand colours. A hint about the venue of PDAC 2026 was intentionally placed on it. Later, another version of the poster with proper branding is created and published.

Many posters were regularly designed and uploaded online featuring the photos of the Perth Web Accessibility Camp 2025. These posters set expectations for new attendees and serve as baseline for the old attendees.

4. Call for Presentations

The soul of any conference is the information exchange between expert speakers and attendees. These posters targeted prospective speakers and imparted a sense of urgency.

5. Inviting Sponsorships

A comparison of sponsorship tiers offered is the highlight of this poster. The anchor image shows the attendees interacting among themselves during the coffee break of Perth Web Accessibility Camp 2025.

6. Call for Debaters

Since the light-hearted ‘Great Debate’ is one of the fan favourites, a dedicated poster is published requesting expressions of interest from quick-witted subject matter experts.

7. Agenda

Thus attendees were aware of upcoming sessions and stayed away from checking their digital devices for the Agenda.

8. Introducing the Speakers

Most of the photos were taken from the LinkedIn pages of speakers. A couple of them were sent by the speakers exclusively for creating this “Speakers” poster.

10. “I’m speaking at PDAC 2026”

A couple of days before the conference, a poster was created showing logos of organisations registered as attendees. This “peer pressure” tactic worked in our favour.

In-Conference Posters

On the day of the conference, posters were created in widescreen 16:9 format so that they can be repeatedly shown on the LED wall displays at the venue.

People took notice of the upcoming free online event organised by the Perth Digital Accessibility Group. This resulted in good participation during the March 2026 event.

Post-Conference Posters

After the conference, a few posters were created and published online to thank the attendees and share some information.

1. “Thank You!”

On the very next day after the conference, without waiting for the pictures from the official photographer, a “Thank You” poster was created by assembling mobile phone photos taken during the event.

2. Conference Photos

Conclusion

Well-designed posters, released in a timely manner, with the required information, played a very big role in bringing people to the PDAC 2026 event. The posters designed by me carried the vibes of an informative, ‘once-a-year’ conference. The FOMO (fear of missing out) element in the posters contributed to the success of the conference!

I would like to thank all the speakers, sponsors, and participants who made this event so memorable. Special thanks to Rina Matsubara, David Vosnacos, our dear friends at the Centre for Accessibility Australia, OZeWAI, GrackleDocs, VisAbility, Chad S. of InfiniSky Media, Vennyta Seng, and The Hub, Bentley Technology Park.

Special shout-out to the amazing Perth Digital Accessibility Group team — Amanda Mace, Dr. Scott Hollier, Vithya Vijayakumare, and Claudia De Los Rios Perez — for all the help and support!
