Design — Posters for Perth Web Accessibility Camp 2025

PWAC 2025 Poster: Tickets are running out!

As a UX Designer with experience in graphic design and content writing for WordPress websites, I’d be happy to assist in any way I can. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

This was my application email about volunteering at the Perth Web Accessibility Meetup Group, sent to Amanda Mace and Dr. Scott Hollier in the month of August 2024. I attended last year’s Perth Web Accessibility Camp 2024 and I loved the community who came together for a day to exchange news and ideas. Before that event, I even designed some unsolicited posters which were never used.

The Meetup Playbook

Since now I’m an official team member, I wanted to handle the social media marketing for this year’s Perth Web Accessibility Camp 2025 so that more tickets can be sold, faster. I already had the experience of designing for the Rotary Club’s virtual iRun events during the COVID-19 shutdown. So I created a playbook out of that and went ahead with designing the posters.

I made almost 75 posters — the majority of them were used to spread the word online till the day of the event. For the day of the event, 16:9 wide-format posters meant for the venue’s digital display were designed. A couple of posters were also designed for the post-event communications.

Pre-Event Posters

These posters are published to spread the word online till the day of the event.

Since the light-hearted ‘Great Debate’ is one of the fan favourites, a dedicated poster is published requesting expressions of interest from quick-witted subject matter experts.

Conclusion

Well-designed posters, released in a timely manner, with the required information, played a very big role in bringing people to the PWAC 2025 event. Special shout-out to the amazing Perth Digital Accessibility Group team — Amanda Mace, Dr. Scott Hollier, David Vosnacos, Vithya Vijayakumare, Claudia De Los Rios Perez, and Lorrie Griffin — for all the help and support!
